In April, Sevita Health acquired BrightSpring Health Services. Sevita agreed to recognize the union and agreed to proceed with bargaining on our next union contract that was due to expire in September.

Our bargaining committee met with company representatives and presented them with our goals for a new contract:

  • Protecting and improving our current rights under the CBA with the previous employer
  • Fair Wages

We have been bargaining for the past two months and wages remain the main outstanding issue. Currently, the employer is proposing wage freezes during the term of the agreement. We understand how important economics are to our members and we are continuing to fight for the best possible agreement with the company. While negotiations continue, all benefits and protecting under the agreement with BrightSpring Health Services shall remain in effect through November 30th.

As we move forward, we must remain united in our fight for a contract that protects our rights and delivers the improvements our members deserve. We will continue to keep you updated every step of the way.
