Following votes taken in stores this week, UFCW Local 400 members working at Kroger under our Roanoke collective bargaining agreement voted 358–152 (70%) to ratify a new union contract.

While we did not get everything we want, this agreement represents a fair deal that meets our goals of:

  • Better pay
  • Better schedules
  • Better staffing
  • Maintain health benefits
  • More paid time off

Many thanks to our outstanding bargaining advisory committee on your hard work to reach this agreement:

  • Charles Price, Kroger #400, Roanoke, Va.
  • Cindy Shelton, Kroger #402, Blacksburg, Va.
  • John Hudson, Kroger #209, Roanoke, Va.
  • Letitia Wilkerson, Kroger #334, Charlottesville, Va.
  • Matt Shifflet, Kroger #255, Abingdon, Va.

The new three-year agreement takes effect retroactively to June 8, 2025 and expires June 3, 2028. Download the highlight sheet to review an outline of all changes to the contract.

As always, don’t hesitate to talk to your union representative or shop steward if you have any questions or concerns. Call our headquarters at 301-459-3400 (Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) to be put in touch with your union representative.
