Negotiations for our next union contract are ongoing, and we have made progress on several important issues. However, securing adequate funding for our health and welfare plans remains a key priority. Our members deserve quality, affordable healthcare, and we are continuing to work with the company for an agreement that protects the benefits you and your families depend on.
Our current contract with Ocean Harvesters has been extended on a month-to-month basis. In the meantime, we have reached an agreement with the company to implement wage increases while negotiations continue. All other benefits and protections under our existing contract remain in effect.
As negotiations move forward, we must remain united in our fight for a strong contract that protects our benefits and delivers the improvements our members deserve.
