This week, we met with representatives from Shoppers and United Natural Foods (UNFI). Talks focused on ensuring wages remain fair and that our health and welfare and pension plans are adequately funded.
In anticipation of the expiration of our current collective bargaining agreement on July 11, we also signed an extension agreement and plan to continue talking next week. All of the benefits and protections of our union contract remain in place while the extension is in effect.
Our goal remains to get an agreement that recognizes our hard work for a company that remains successful. As bargaining continues, we will continue to keep you updated every step of the way.
