UFCW Local 400 members working at Montgomery Rehab and Nursing in Montgomery, W.Va. voted 12–8 in favor of accepting a new union contract on August 5, 2025.
The new three-year agreement provides:
- Largest across-the-board pay increases for CNAs of any contract ever at the facility
- Longevity raises in years five, 10 and 20
- Preserved health benefits with minimal premium increases in the second and third years of the agreement
- Preserves vacation accrual for all current employees
“I want to congratulate our Montgomery Rehab and Nursing members on standing strong in solidarity and winning themselves a collective bargaining agreement that raises their living standards and protects their health benefits,” said UFCW Local 400 President Mark P. Federici. “These gains were hard-earned and a direct result of their unity.”
Montgomery Rehab and Nursing is a 60-bed nursing facility directly across from Montgomery General Hospital that provides short- and long-term care services to patients in need.
