Tentative Agreement Reached with Kaiser Permanente to Avert a Strike

We are pleased to announce we have reached a tentative agreement with Kaiser Permanente on our first union contract for rehab therapists!

This would not have happened if it were not for our unity. We stood together to show KP we were willing to do whatever it takes to get the contract we deserve – and we did it.

We achieved nearly every single goal we set out to accomplish with this contract. Download the summary of the proposed contract to review the details.

Our tentative agreement includes:

• Average 13% pay increases plus a 2% bonus over a 23 month agreement
• Dedicated patient management time for all therapists
• No changes in health, welfare, or retiree benefits for the life of the contract
• A contract expiration date that lines us up with national Alliance bargaining in 2025

Now that bargaining has concluded, we are putting together the next steps in this process. Join us on Thursday, November 9 at 8:00 p.m. for a virtual Zoom meeting to review the complete contract in every detail and answer any questions you may have. You must register for the Zoom at the link below. It is critical that every member attend this meeting.

We will then vote on the contract on Monday, November 13. Voting will take place electronically from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and all union members in good standing may vote. The bargaining committee is strongly recommending we vote YES to ratify this agreement.
