With Our Current Contract Close to Expiration, It’s Time for Giant & Safeway to Get Serious
After several weeks of hard bargaining sessions with Giant and Safeway, progress toward our new contract remains slow. We are still far apart on many issues, but we remain committed to winning our best union contract in years.
With only two days to go before our contract expires on Saturday, October 28, it’s past time for Giant and Safeway to get serious and show some major progress in negotiations.
Giant and Safeway know that we’re ready to do whatever it takes to win our best contract and we expect to have an offer by expiration that rewards us for our hard work and sacrifices. If we do not get to a deal by expiration, we all need to be ready to take action.
