Negotiations and Actions Continue All Week

As we approach the expiration date of our contract on Saturday, October 7, a federal mediator has joined us at contract negotiations to help get to a fair deal. Mediators do not make decisions about what a final agreement will look like, but they can help move the process forward toward a new contract.

While our goal remains to reach a fair deal by the time the contract expires Saturday, as always, we will not be rushed into a bad deal. We are currently scheduled to meet with Kroger every day this week, including Saturday, and will be working until the deadline to get the best possible agreement.

As negotiations with the company continue, the solidarity and actions that have been occurring at stores across the area have shown Kroger that we are willing to do whatever it takes to get the fair deal we deserve. We must continue our work to enforce our current contract and encourage your coworkers, family, and friends to participate in every action. When our community has our back, we have the best chance to get the fair deal we deserve. We will continue to keep you updated every step of the way.

In Solidarity,

The 2017 Kroger West Virginia Bargaining Committee: Wayne, Billy, Tami, Allen, and Victoria
