Wilfredo Flores, a leader in the fight to organize poultry workers in the Shenandoah Valley, welcomes us to Harrisonburg at Sunday’s grand opening.

On Sunday, we were proud to open a new office space in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The community greeted us with more than sixty attendees – and food for another 150!

The attendees reflected the increasingly diverse constituencies of the surrounding region, which included community and faith leaders, as well as workers from nearby poultry plants and meat packing facilities. Speakers from Faith In Action, an interfaith group of twenty congregations from Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, welcomed the Local 400 union family to the region.

The office, located on Commerce Drive off of Main Street, will be open by appointment only.

If you live in the Harrisonburg area, you can make an appointment with lead organizer Guillermo Zelaya by phone at (202) 436-6381 or by email at gzelaya@local400.org.
