Every year, Union Plus comes together to help family in need within our community around the holidays. After contacting the Community Services Agency, AFL-CIO, they identified a UFCW Local 400 family! Meet the Effa-Mboul’s, a family of 10 from Woodbridge, VA. Local 400 member, Janice, who works at Giant 760, and her husband Engelbert, who has been out of work, are having trouble making rent payments on time and although they have sought out other avenues to receive assistance others have turned them down. We thank Union Plus and CSA for lending a helping hand to this deserving family during throughout holiday season!
