In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation designating May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as National Police Week. This year tens of thousands of law enforcement officers from around the world will converge on DC to participate events to honor those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice. All of us at Local 400 would like to thank our members at Annapolis Police and Takoma Park Police for their service and putting their lives on the line everyday to protect our communities.
