On July 15, 2012 CVS pharmacists voted in favor of a new contract set to expire March 20, 2015. This two-and-a-half year deal affects 562 pharmacists and includes the following key provisions:
- Additions to the bereavement/leaves of absence article to include aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, step-parent, step-brother, and step-sister
- Pay increase for all pharmacists
- No transfers of pharmacists to other work site locations without consulting the union
- Formation of a joint committee between pharmacists and pharmacy supervisors to openly discuss technician and support staffing guidelines
- Holiday policy formally included in the contract as a reference
